Meet the Chef
Miss Bonnie
Miss Bonnie is a licensed culinary professional with roots that stretch from Wilson, North Carolina to Mount Vernon, New York. After spending most of her adult life in New York, she made her way back to the South where North Carolina is home once again.
Her passion for cooking was shaped by being surrounded by diverse cultures, communities, and friendships. Through those connections, she mastered bold Caribbean flavors, learned authentic Southern soul food recipes passed down from her mother, and developed a love for grilling, inspired by her father.
What began as cooking for family and friends quickly turned into something more dishes so good that people began asking her to sell plates. That demand led to the creation of Miss Bonnie’s Kitchen.
With an exceptional palate and creative instinct, there isn’t a dish Miss Bonnie can’t taste, recreate, and elevate with her own signature twist one that will make you think twice about the original. Every plate reflects culture, comfort, and intention.
